Japan v Netherlands

Japan v Netherlands

We are really hoping to see an exciting clash tonight between Japan and Netherlands at the World Cup. Japan, the defending champions, are a very experienced side with their youngest player being a seasoned 22 years old. The 22 year-old, Mana Iwabuchi, has 5 years with the senior squad, 25 caps, and 3 goals under her belt. Surprisingly, she does not have Japan’s fewest caps (10). Stretching the age range on the team is Homare Sawa with 200 caps, enough said.

Netherlands is rivalling with a very young side, as they have two 18 year-old’s who combine for 28 caps, and only 3 years experience with the senior squad.  The fewest caps on the Dutch’s side is Maran van Erp with only 1. The Dutch are trying to balance out the experience with Dyanne Bito who has an impressive 146 caps for her country.

Nevertheless, the average age on Japan is 27.8 years old, while Netherlands is 24.6 years old. Perhaps it will be the experience on this occasion that will persevere, but as we all know this beautiful game can make room for underdog stories too! Netherlands with the youth, who knows?! Let’s watch the game. Kick off is NOW!! #JPN #NED #JPNvNED #WWC2015 #FIFAWorldCup #WomensWorldCup #Canada2015  Game Updates Here
